Morrison Shafroth

Morrison Shafroth has worked for more than 20 years in corporate public relations, business communications and journalism — with expertise in supporting businesses and organizations in financial services, renewable energy and the nonprofit sector.

His communications campaigns have garnered coverage in local and national media — including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Business Week, CNBC, NBC Nightly News and NPR — and have successfully driven business and nonprofit programs and objectives.

At Charles Schwab, Morrison led campaigns to promote the firm’s advice services; launch the Charles Schwab Bank; promote Schwab’s $400 billion mutual fund business; and highlight more than 30 new products and services. During the 9/11 crisis, he managed all public communications for Schwab’s mutual fund business; he also advised executives on reputation management issues and communications strategy. Prior to Schwab, Morrison led public relations and marketing programs at the Pacific Exchange. He also worked with communications teams at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Committee on Jobs, Project Open Hand and Friends of the Urban Forest.

He is a former editor of San Francisco Business Magazine and former reporter at the San Francisco Examiner, Burlington (VT) Free Press, Livingston (MT) Enterprise. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
