William Davis

As senior writer for Communications Strategy Group’s Financial Services practice, William “Bill” Davis brings a unique combination of writing skills and industry knowledge to the position. With more than 20 years in the financial services industry, Bill possesses expertise in nearly every aspect of the business.

In his current role, Bill is responsible for content creation and writing services, including press releases, byline articles and white papers.

Before joining CSG|PR, Bill served as senior vice president for investments for Old Mutual Capital, the retail distribution unit of Boston-based Old Mutual Asset Management. He moved to Colorado in 2004 to help manage the launch of the firm’s operations in Denver. In addition to overseeing all investment management activity, Bill was a member of Old Mutual’s Investment and Product Development Committees, where he was actively involved in the development and execution of overall business strategy.

Prior to coming out west, Bill held senior management positions with AEGON/Transamerica in Florida. While at AEGON, he served as vice president investment manager oversight and headed up Investment Marketing for the mutual fund and variable insurance channels. It was in this capacity that Bill began cultivating relationships with many of Wall Street’s finest money managers. He also authored a weekly market letter that was distributed to the broker/dealer community. Bill began his career as a financial advisor with Smith Barney.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College in Florida with concentrations in marketing and management. Bill joined CSG|PR in May 2008.
